Somerset Sunset is home to a charming 125 year old cottage, one of the original homestead’s in the area, which was named by brothers Evan and Colin Mackenzie in 1841, from the town of Kilcoy in Scotland.
Somerset Sunset, previously named Kilcoy Farmstay, has a long tradition of providing couples with their perfect wedding venue. Its stunning views of Lake Somerset to the front of the property, breathtaking views of the mountains to the rear and beautiful gardens in a magical rural setting, that make it the perfect place for a romantic country wedding!
Enjoy the peace and serenity of the self contained colonial homestead called "The Farmhouse" which sleeps up to 6 people, with an adjoining fully equipped commercial kitchen called "The Feed Lot”. There is also another recently renovated fully fenced three bedroom home called the “The Pool House” which has a 15 metre pool and pizza oven in the yard. For large families, we have the “Bunkhouse” which sleeps 10 people and for smaller families we also have a self contained flat called “The Lodge” which sleeps up to 5 people.
